Rev. Lance Armstead
Youth Pastor

Lance Armstead joined the staff
at Greater First Baptist Church in 2005 after relocating with
his family from Houston, Texas. Lance served as a Sunday School
teacher as well as the Children's Church Director in 2006. Prior
to joining Greater First Baptist Church, he served as a Sunday
School Teacher at Brookhollow Baptist Church in Houston, Texas.
He has also served as Youth Director, Laymen Director,
Evangelistic Outreach Coordinator and Prison Ministry
Coordinator. In December, 2006 Lance was named Youth Pastor at
GFB. As the Youth Pastor, Lance's role is "to provide spiritual
guidance and direction" to the Youth Ministries at GFB as well
as Minister to the Youth both in our church as well as our
Community.
Lance is a graduate of Louisiana
State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree
in Finance; a graduate of Regent University, where he earned a
Master's of Business Administration Degree in Financial
Planning, and a recent graduate of Luther Rice Seminary, where
he earned a Master's of Arts Degree in Ministry. Lance is
employed with ConocoPhillips where he has served in various
positions in various locations during his 15 years with the
company. Lance also serves as a Board member of the AIMS program
which focuses on mentoring Youth in the community; an adjunct
Business Professor at Oklahoma Wesleyan University; a Board
member of the Work Ethics Prosper Summer Youth Employment
program, and Chaplain for the Boys & Girls Club basketball
program. Lance is married to Dana Armstead and they have two
children, Amber and Lance Jr.
