Odis Adams
Associate Minister
|
Odis Adams was born in Hallsville,
Texas and at an early age, moved to Longview, Texas. He is
the second of three boys and attended elementary, mid high, and
high school in Longview. Adams attended Tyler Junior College,
Kilgore College, and Lamar University.
Odis is a husband, father, and a
grandfather. He has been employed by Baker Petrolite for 34
years. While living in Longview, Odis attended Friendship
Baptist Church and was active as deacon/trustee and financial
consultant. He held the office of 3rd Vice President
of a nonprofit organization known as The Community Out-Reach
Mission sponsored by the Ministerial Alliance.
In December of 1998 Odis transferred
from the Kilgore, Texas, plant to Barnsdall, OK. After moving to
Bartlesville, OK, he and his wife, Linda, joined Greater First
Baptist Church. He started working as deacon and his wife as
deaconess. In 2001, Odis decided to further his education in
Theology. Odis attended Oklahoma Baptist University from
2001-2005. In 2002, he accepted the call as a gospel minister and
preached his first sermon on July 14, 2002, at Greater First
Baptist. He also teaches Prime Time/Children’s Church at GFB.
In his spare time, Odis loves reading the
Word of God and playing golf. |
